Join Marin Oratorio for a diverse holiday-themed program, including two rarely-performed, seasonal major works alongside Cantata 140 by J.S. Bach. The programs includes excerpts from The Ballad of the Brown King, a cantata by black American Margaret Bonds on a text by Langston Hughes; and Navidad Nuestra, a nativity "folk drama" by Argentinian composer Ariel Ramirez. Both works feature soloists and instrumental ensembles. The chorus will close the program with a moving arrangement of the gospel song The Storm is Passing Over.
