In 2004, on the occasion of our 60th wedding anniversary, we sponsored a free concert, to bring chamber music played by first class professionals to the Santa Rosa Community.
This was so successful, that people asked us to bring more of this kind of program to the community. We heeded that request, and by now are producing a six-concert series, known as Absolute Music at the Friedman Center.
This year, in 2009, on the occasion of our 65th wedding anniversary, we will reprise some of the 2004 program, i.e. Schubert’s Trout Quintet, and add “Sonatas & Songs” to the program.
