James began his career working for Beverly Sills at New York City Opera. He is a Founding Member of The Singers Development Foundation. He has worked and lectured for San Francisco Opera, is a former executive director of Pocket Opera, and worked on projects with Cincinnati Opera and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. James teaches popular opera appreciation classes throughout the Bay Area and leads Cultural Arts & Opera trips to destinations such as New York, Santa Fe, Chicago, and Paris. |
